North Node in Gemini May 2020

Hello beautiful beings! This morning, May 5, 2020 the lunar nodes left Cancer and Capricorn and moved into the signs of Gemini and Sagittarius. This transition will continue to be an influence in our lives for the rest of the year as they will not reach their next sign until January 18, 2021

What are the lunar nodes? Good question! A lunar node is either of the two orbital nodes of the Moon, that is, the two points at which the orbit of the Moon intersects the ecliptic. The ascending (or north) node is where the Moon moves into the northern ecliptic hemisphere, while the descending (or south) node is where the Moon enters the southern ecliptic…

Ok. But what is the significance? The nodes of the moon represent points of personal karmic imbalance. They help us answer questions such as: What is my purpose in this life? What is my mission? and What do I need to learn while I am here? The nodes hold the key to helping us learn our life lessons and find our true purpose.

The North node represent what we will experience in life and areas that we need to work on in order to grow on a spiritual level and past karmic energies that we need to work through to achieve a higher level of understanding in our existence.

The north node in Gemini is inviting us to look at how our choices and desires are affecting our growth and what we can do to improve our lives and align ourselves with our higher purpose.

The south node in Sagittarius will bring up the baggage of the past and force us to take a look at those things holding us back. It is asking us to give up that which no longer serves our higher purpose.

The South node can be a bit tricky because those are the things that come easy to us. For example, it may me easier to hold a grudge than practice forgiveness when we are wronged. That can be a lesson that our North node is urging us to work through. But, when we strive to emphasize our north node qualities, these life lessons can bring us the greatest happiness and joy in our lives.

Jupiter represents expansion and will be a major influence in the south node. This will shake up our unconscious beliefs and philosophies in life and shine a light on those things that are not aligned with our higher self.

Jupiterian Astrologer Dane Rudhyar described the south node as not only being a place of disintegration but a seed-like re-channeling into creative expression and spiritual development. I will write more on Jupiter and it’s influence at a later time.

Although the nodes just shifted, this event won’t have a major impact until later in the year. December will bring us a total solar eclipse in Sagittarius (12/14) and when Jupiter enters Aquarius (12/19) and conjucts Saturn in Aquarius (12/21).

So what should I do now? Take time to really delve into your belief systems and look for areas that not aligning with your higher purpose and shed those self limiting beliefs and doubts, so that you can grow into your full potential. Be prepared because the end of 2020 will bring about a new collective consciousness and the dawning of an age of Aquarius.

Much love to you all and until next time… Be generous be kind and above all be true to yourself.

Blessed be,

Christina
